US blow moulding specialist Uniloy Inc. is bringing blow moulding machine manufacturing back to its European technical centre in Magenta Italy.
The former Milacron blow moulding unit, which was formally purchased by Uniloy from Milacron, together with the other US and European operations in July, will further underscore its return to Europe by taking part in K2019 trade show in Dusseldorf, Germany this October, the company announced 9 Aug.
Uniloy was part of Milacron until recently being jointly acquired by Osgood Capital and Cyprium Investment Partners, two investment firms with years of experience in the plastics market.
“What better way to present the new Uniloy company to the world than at the largest global plastics trade show?” said Uniloy CEO and president Brian Marston.
The European revival was prompted by customers who were “asking for Uniloy products made in Europe” and is in line with the company’s global growth strategy, according to director of European sales Corrado Zanga.
“There have been plenty of rumours and false information shared in the market, and this activity shows Uniloy is focused on our global customer’s needs,” said Zanga, without going into further details.
In 2015, Milacron had consolidated European production of its blow moulding machines at its Policka, Czech Republic site and simultaneously ended production in Italy.
Uniloy's line of blow moulding machines includes reciprocating screw blow moulders, injection blow moulding presses, shuttle machines and accumulator head blow moulding machines. The business also is a major manufacturer of blow moulds, for dairy and other markets.
