At Brückner Maschinenbau, the machine manufacturer will introduce ‘Easy Operation’, an integrated solution which builds on the strategies related to Industry 4.0.
The focus of this new package includes a new form of intelligent line operation which, with the support of several assistant systems, will allow an overall process view and analysis.
The new digital services division, Brückner Services, will introduce a single interface for all machine service processes, including spare part procurement, remote machine maintenance and online documentation.
This will be delivered via a secure network, with access and data sharing levels set by the machine owner.
Kiefel, the division of Brückner focused on the design and manufacture of machines used to produce plastic film materials, will launch Smart Service, Smart Production and Smart Machine.
These three core modules will act as support mechanisms for complex production systems and processes, driving greater insight into the Smart Factory.
The fourth division at Brückner, PackSys Global, will introduce such support choices as remote support, a series of e-learning modules, and a related e-portal.
These are intended to support preventative machine maintenance, improving overall uptime, while also advising on energy usage and production efficiencies. The unit will be managed via new, dedicated app.
In addition to these specific divisional packages, Brückner Group will launch new sustainability initiatives under the ‘Yes, We Care’ programme.
Launched in 2017, the programme offers information for employees, customers and interested members of the public about how Brückner is addressing social responsibility.
As part of this, the machine manufacturer will be working on ways to ensure that films and packaging are produced with the least possible resources and with the highest possible recycling capability.
For example, Brückner Maschinenbau will launch a new BOPE concept mono-material which while offering superior mechanical and optical properties will be recyclable and sortable.
Brückner Servtec will offer special customer audits which will advise on machine updates to achieve the latest environmental standards.
Kiefel will introduce new line and tool technologies to support recycling of mono-materials into recyclable products, including bowls, cups and lids.
At PackSys Global, new mono-material tubes will be introduced to further boost recyclability. These will include a range of tubing products which will eliminate aluminium from the laminate.
