Chicago-based Berlin Packaging, which styles itself as the 'world's only hybrid packaging supplier’ is continuing to expand its European reach with the acquisition of French packaging firm Verrerie Calvet.
Berlin Packaging is a €2.3bn global supplier of rigid packaging products and services to customers of all types across all sectors.
The company operates in Europe through its Bruni Glass division – with headquarters in Milan, Italy, and locations and warehouses through Italy, France, and Spain – and its Bruni Erben division – with locations and warehouses in England, Scotland, and South Africa.
The acquisition of Verrerie Calvet will strengthen the company’s activities in the glass packaging arena.
Verrerie Calvet will be integrated into Berlin’s Bruni Glass organisation and will be run in partnership with Bruni Glass’ team in France, which has offices and warehouses at Nice.
All of the product lines that Verrerie Calvet brings are now available to all customers of Berlin Packaging, Bruni Glass, and Bruni Erben.
Moreover, Verrerie Calvet customers will benefit from the products and services that Berlin and Bruni offer, including a diverse array of containers - in glass, plastic, and metal - and closures, as well as from a much larger European impression.
