Arlanxeo and Dhahran Techno Valley Company (DTVC ) have signed a letter of intent that will see the two companies collaborating on the development of products and applications relevant to Arlanxeo’s elastomers businesses.
Under the agreement, a new technology R&D centre will be established by Saudi Aramco-owned Arlanxeo in Dhahran Techno Valley, Saudi Arabia.
DTVC is wholly owned by KFUPM, Saudi Arabia’s foremost academic institution for oil and gas. The institution has longstanding R&D ties with Saudi Aramco, said Donald Chen, CEO of Arlanxeo, making the collaboration a ‘natural fit’.
It will moreover allow Arlanxeo access to the expertise of ‘highly qualified research and academic personnel from DTVC and KFUPM’ said Abdulaziz Al-Judaimi, Saudi Aramco’s senior vice president of Downstream.
