The seventh annual VinylPlus Sustainability Forum is scheduled to be held this year in Prague, Czech Republic on May 9 and 10.

Under the theme ‘Accelerating Innovation’, the conference will this year focus on the role innovation can play in the sector’s ability to deliver future economic, social and environmental sustainability.

Organised by VinylPlus, the Voluntary Commitment to sustainable development by the European PVC industry, the Forum will examine key industry issues such as the right market balance for the use of virgin and recycled PVC, the competitiveness of PVC products over their whole life cycle and the need to adapt to the ongoing shift towards social sustainability with innovative approaches in education and the development of new skills. Is Europe - and the world - ready and capable of this task?

“The PVC industry’s journey towards sustainable development started nearly 20 years ago,” said Brigitte Dero, VinylPlus general manager.

“Much progress has already been achieved through the development of new technologies that are transforming the sustainability of the PVC sector. In this regard, the role of our industry voluntary commitments, such as VinylPlus, is vital in driving forward innovative and sustainable approaches.”
