The British Plastics Federation’s pipes group has appointed Richard Hill of ACO Technologies as its new president.
Hill took over the position from Derek Muckle of Radius Systems at the beginning of the year, the BPF announced 18 Feb.
ACO Technologies jointed the BPF in 2012 as? when its broadened its business into plastic water management products.
Speaking on the appointment, Hill said he intended to improve contribution to “the sustainability agenda” in the construction industry and maintain relationships with European trade bodies throughout his two-year tenure.
Richard Hill has 30 years of experience in the plastics industry. For the past 24 years, he has served as ACO Technologies managing director in the UK.
According to BPF, ACO has been “prominent” in helping to draft a variety of sustainable drainage best practice documents.
Steve Richmond from Rehau has been appointed vice-president of the BPF pipes group, also with a two-year tenure.
The BPF pipes group is dedicated to promoting the development, acceptance and usage of manufactured plastics piping systems at all levels in the building, construction, civil and utilities industries.
