Bandera’s strategic decision a few years ago to grow and expand its business the southeast Asian market is paying off.

Although already well-established in the Chinese market, the Italian extrusion specialist has reported additional success elsewhere in the region, including Viet Nam and South Korea. Manufacturers in the latter country in particular, according to Bandera, is rapidly adapting to the new challenges in the packaging and converting industries, and is in the market for high-end extrusion lines, enabling them to meet exacting customer demands.

The company has announced that it has received an order for a third complete extrusion line at a plant in the Pyeongtaek industrial area in South Korea. Following the delivery of a flat die technology line and PVC pelletizing machines earlier in 2018, Bandera will soon be installing the newest generation SmartFlex Blown Film Line, featuring a 1800mm useful width, and dedicated to the production of stretch hood film, printing and lamination film.  The line, which has been designed and built in Italy at Bandera's THOE  - ‘The House of Extrusion’ – will first undergo a series of wet tests, after which it will be delivered to and installed at the plant in Pyeongtaek.
