Injection moulding machinery supplier Arburg celebrated its 10-year anniversary in the United Arab Emirates, concurrent with the Arabplast show in Dubai, 5-9 Jan.
In a statement 9 Jan, the German machinery supplier said it saw “large potentials” within the Arabian market for sophisticated technological applications, as the number of plastic-processing companies grew.
"The entire spectrum is covered, from the production and refining of crude oil, to the production of plastic, right through to processing," said director of overseas sales Andrea Carta.
Based in Ras Al Khaimah, Arburg UAE also supports other Persian Gulf states as well as Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Yemen.
According to Arburg, the focus of its UAE subsidiary is predominantly on the packaging industry, followed by technical moulded parts and products for medical technology and the automotive sector.
“High-tech machines are in great demand in all these areas, and it is this premium segment that Arburg targets with its product range,” the company said.
Arburg also provides consulting services as well as pre- and after-sales support to its Arabian customers through its UAE unit.
The service package includes an expert hotline for fast assistance by phone, local technicians and training courses and seminars.
