Link3D, a supplier of additive manufacturing (AM) execution workflow software, has announced that it will be working in a proof of concept trial with EOS North America, a business of EOS GmbH, a technology supplier in the field of industrial 3D printing of metals and polymer materials.
EOS North America has selected the Link3D software system for internal use, in the performance of the benchmark studies it carries out for customers from its two technical facilities in Pflugerville, Texas, and Novi, Michigan. These studies provide insight into how AM workflow processes can be managed in a distributed manufacturing model. Link3D MES enables users to visualize their AM workflows from order submission until delivery, connecting two sites digitally, thus improving end-to-end transparency, reducing turnaround times and demonstrating to customers the true potential of additive manufacturing for production.
Users of Link3D’s additive manufacturing workflow software can see how order submitters can communicate directly with technicians and application engineers to finalize production requirements, costing and quoting, production planning and scheduling, post-processing and quality inspection, delivery - data analytics and more. Further, clients purchasing Link3D MES system will be assured that Link3D’s Build Simulation software for quoting and costing will be time-tested by EOS North America. This software will give EOS a scalable solution for their internal AM workflow processes.
