The Röchling Group has invested some €35m to expand and scale up production capacity at its site in Neuhaus am Rennweg, Germany.

The German group said 20 April that the investment, one of the group’s largest, involved the addition of a new production building at the site as part of growth strategy of its medical division.

The expansion will increase capacity ‘significantly’ at Röchling Medical Neuhaus GmbH, improving the market position of the company which specialises in manufacturing primary packaging for the pharmaceutical and diagnostics industries.

The Röchling Group launched the medical division in 2016, bolstering its two existing divisions, industrial and automotive.

Röchling Medical said its “intensive marketing” had led to “major projects”, which, it said, necessitated the expansion of production capacity for co-extrusion blow moulding.
