Teijin strengthens carbon fibre operations in China, Taiwan

Japanese materials supplier Teijin Ltd has set up sales offices in Shanghai, China and Taipei, Taiwan in order to address the growing demand for carbon fibre materials in the regions.

The two companies, Teijin Carbon Shanghai Co., Ltd and Teijin Carbon Taiwan Inc., will serve as bases to develop carbon fibre business and expand sales in their promising markets, the company said 24 April.

Teijin had previously set up offices in Shanghai and Taipei to identify demand opportunities and provide customer services in China and Taiwan.

The two offices will now be absorbed by the new subsidiaries.
