Petainer beer keg toasts Czech packaging award

The Petainer Keg – a family of lightweight PET beverage containers designed for one-way use – has received the Obal Roku 2011 packaging award, organised by the Czech packaging institute, Syba.

Nigel Pritchard, Petainer CEO, said: “We are delighted that the expert panel of judges of the Obal Roku competition has recognised that the Petainer Keg offers a significant breakthrough in the sales and marketing of volume beer, wine and other beverages.

“It opens up new channels and markets for our customers and provides a step change in environmental performance – as well as reducing costs and improving cash flow.”

Petainer has its headquarters in Aš in the Czech Republic and manufacturing plants in Lidk"ping, Sweden, and in Aš. These are supported by an R&D centre in Sweden and sales offices in Germany and the UK.
