Velox GmbH has been chosen by South Korean materials supplier SK Chemicals to distribute the company’s new plastic material range Skyplete in Europe.
According to SK Chemicals’ website Skyplete is an eco-friendly high-performance thermoplastic material, specially designed for 3D printing applications.
The materials, claims SK Chemicals, deliver “outstanding printing performance” and can be used as an alternative to ABS and PC for 3D printing users.
The range is categorised into five series of eco-friendly, durable, high-performance, flexible and powder materials.
Skyplete eco-friendly E-series are made of differentiated bio-based products, which SK Chemicals claim to deliver “much enhanced performance comparable to petro-based materials”.
“We believe that Velox is the most suitable partner to meet our strategic objective to expand the market share in Europe because they have experience in 3D printing industry as well as technical knowledge on SK Chemicals products,” commented Brian Oh, business development team leader at SK Chemicals.
Hamburg-based Velox said its target group for the new Skyplete range are filament producers and compounders who seek innovative and specialised 3D printing materials with a great range of properties.
Velox will supply the new product range in all European countries.
