Röchling Engineering Plastics (UK) Ltd has put a new cleanroom into operation with ISO Class 7 standards, the plastics processor has announced.
With the investment, the Gloucester, UK-based affiliate of the German Röchling Group, said it was expanding its thermoplastics machined components, specifically for medical technology, pharmaceutical engineering, aerospace and semiconductor technology.
Commenting on the investment, the amount of which was not disclosed, managing director Mike Knowles said the company had witnessed “very high demands” for components for medical technology, pharmaceutical engineering, aerospace and semiconductor technology in the areas of dimensional accuracy and cleanliness.
According to Knowled, parts are cleaned, packaged and labelled according to defined specifications in the new cleanroom.
Röchling Engineering Plastics (UK) is part of the Industrial Division of the global Röchling Group.
Worldwide, the Industrial Division provides a range of semi-finished products and machined components made from thermoplastics and composites.
In the UK the Röchling Group has three subsidiaries: Röchling Engineering Plastics (UK) in Gloucester, along with the subsidiaries Röchling Fibracon Ltd, High Peak, and Röchling Insoll Ltd, Hitchin.
