German extrusion blow moulding machinery supplier Kautex Maschinbau has set up a sales office in Mexico in response to growing demand in North and Central America.
The move is part of Kautex’s decentralisation strategy, which will see the establishment of sales offices in rapidly growing markets.
“Proximity to our customers is an important element of our success story,” said Andreas Lichtenauer, managing partner at Kautex Maschinenbau.
Kautex Machines México S.A. de C.V. is headquartered in Mexico City and will be run by Kautex’s long-standing sales partner Mucio Vieyra.
Vieyra will also be supported by three service technicians and the North American sales company Kautex Machines Inc., based in New Jersey.
Kautex expects to add more service technicians to the Mexican team in 2018.
In Mexico, Kautex expects particular interest in its machines for automotive applications as well as machines for industrial and consumer packaging.
