The government of the United Kingdom is offering £2,500 (€2,800) to UK exhibitors at Chinaplas 2018, the Department of International Trade (DIT) has confirmed.
The grant, said the British Plastics Foundation (BPF) could cover the majority of the cost of a stand the plastics industry’s key event which will be held in Shanghai 24-28 April 2018.
Companies wishing to reserve space at the event need to register before 24 Nov, the BPF noted.
The BPF is organising the British Pavilion at Chinaplas 2018 and stand sizes start from 6sqm.
The British Pavilion is located in Hall 2H amongst other national pavilions including Germany, Austria, Italy, France.
China is believed to offer significant opportunities for plastics companies across the whole supply chain, including material suppliers, service providers and equipment suppliers.
The country is the second largest export destination for plastics and rubber machinery from Europe after the US, according to Euromap.
Chinaplas 2017 covered 26 halls and featured 3,485 exhibitors from 38 countries.
The exhibition organisers reported record-breaking visitor numbers of 155,258, with 40,000 from overseas.
