On 20 September, Russia’s leading compounding company R&P Polyplastic will host the eighth automotive conference, with as theme “Effective solutions for modern auto industry challenges in Russia using R&P Polyplastic materials”. The conference is targeted at
customers from several regions, including Ulyanovsk and Leningrad regions and Tatarstan, and will take place in Ulyanovsk.
The key topic of this year’s conference is advanced world auto industry technologies. Special attention will be given to the application of polyphenylene sulfide materials under the bonnet. Referred to by the conference organizers as “the material of the future”, these materials, featuring excellent thermal and dimensional stability, offer a cost-effective, corrosion resistant and flame retardant replacement for metal. Already a popular choice, the number of application areas for this polymer are expanding rapidly.
Next to the presentations from Russian and European experts, a broad excursion program is planned, allowing the participants to learn more about the history of Russian auto industry.
The previous conference was a well-attended success, which took place in Togliatti (Russia). Togliatti is home to the AvtoVaz plant, one of the world’s biggest automotive plants and majority owned by the Renault-Nissan Alliance.
