Compounding World Expo 2018 is a new exhibition dedicated to the plastics compounding sector which has been launched by UK-based AMI.
The exhibition will take place in Essen, Germany on 27-28 June 2018. It is billed as “the world’s first international exhibition focused specifically on the plastics compounding industry”.
AMI said in its announcement: “The exhibition will be free to attend and will cover all types of polymer compounds including polyolefins, PVC, engineering plastics, styrenics, TPEs and masterbatch, as well as plastics recycling. Free seminars, technical presentations and industry debates will take place in lecture theatres on the exhibition floor.”
Andy Beevers, AMI’s event director, said: “The compounding industry plays a critical role in the growth and development of plastics markets. The Compounding World Expo 2018 will reflect the growing influence and importance of the sector by providing a dedicated large-scale international meeting place for compounders and masterbatch makers.”
Companies which have already reserved stands include Brabender, Buss, Farrel Pomini, Feddem, Imerys, KraussMaffei Berstorff, Leistritz, Polyscope and Velox.
Marco Senoner, head of marketing at kneader technology supplier Buss, called the exhibition “a valuable platform to unify the compounding sector”.
AMI’s conference business already includes events for the compounding sector but this will be the company’s “first free-to-enter exhibition for delegates”, it said.
