Global caps and closures company Bericap has announced the release of StackCap, a second use beverage cap based on a concept by Smooth HIP and enhanced to a high performance.
Bericap states that StackCap meets the current trend towards the second use of caps and closures instead of a cap being recycled after first use. The StackCap, the company explains, is used first to cap still or carbonated beverages and then subsequently used to build toys or other artistic shapes.
StackCaps, says Bericap, can be stacked on top of each other or be assembled side by side by means of grooves in the caps structure. This allows 3D structured toys such as cars, planes or houses to be built. When combined with the empty PET bottle, the company describes how bigger structures such as toy space ships can be created.
Bericap highlights that StackCap can be used for promotions or to distinguish children packs on shop shelves. StackCap is currently available for the neck finish PCO 1881 and only weighs a little more than a standard cap, states the company.
