HaloPolymer passes European food packaging laws

Russian fluoropolymer producer HaloPolymer says its F-4 and F4-D products are now compliant with European Directive No. 10/2011, meaning they can be used for food packaging.

During the tests, carried out at the SGS Multilab laboratory in France, the materials were tested under  “the most severe conditions”.

HaloPolymer turned out 7,000 tons of fluoropolymers in 2011 and recorded a net profit of €121m on a 2011 annual turnover of €374m. It exports its products to more than 30 countries worldwide.
